Amazon has launched Prime Day, the brand’s second-biggest sale event of the year after Black Friday.
The online retail giant originally postponed the event in July but has now launched thousands of deals as part of a delayed Prime Day 2020 sales event.
Deals include discounts on the likes of the Amazon Echo Dot, the Echo Show and other Amazon technology, as well as Nintendo Switch consoles, beauty advent calendars and fashion items ranging from trainers to dresses.
However, for those who are keen to bag a bargain there is another section of the Amazon website that can add an extra 20% off the price of everything from electronics to clothes.
Amazon has cut the price of many items in its warehouse section by 20%. The section is not one that Amazon shouts about very often because it is usually stocked with items that have been used or where the boxes have been opened. Often the items are in pristine condition but damage to the box means they can be sold for much lower prices.
Amazon is hoping to clear some of the warehouse stock for Amazon Prime Day and has announced anybody with an Amazon Prime subscription will automatically get an extra 20% off. The discount will be applied at checkout for anybody with a Prime membership.
The deal includes laptops and TVs, Lego and toys, baby monitors and other technology, books, fashion items and even video games for consoles such as the Nintendo Switch.
