The ‘rare find’ dog-friendly hotel close to Pendle Hill leaving guests ‘wowed’

A Lancashire hotel has been called a “rare find” by previous guests who have left shining reviews of the hotel on TripAdvisor.

The Lawrence Hotel in Padiham is a wedding venue, hotel and restaurant and has a lot to offer – it’s even dog friendly.

The Lawrence has five room types available, including the Snug, Family, Superior, Signature and Suite.

The Grade II listed building has 14 rooms and is close to both Pendle Hill and Gawthorpe Hall.

The hotel is rated 4.5/5 on TripAdvisor and 111 of its 137 reviews rate it as ‘excellent’.

One guest, who visited the hotel in October, branded The Lawrence as a “rare find” and continued to call it “fantastic”.

Sarah S wrote: “We went to a wedding at this amazing hotel. Absolutely loved the place, the staff were fantastic, the food was amazing. Can’t fault the place, would highly recommend this hotel. We shall definitely be returning. This is how a hotel should be run.”

Several reviews in the past year praise the “lovely” and “attentive” staff at the hotel, with a couple of guests writing that they had received Brownies on arrival.

Rebecca, who visited the hotel in August 2021, said the hotel provided a “perfect stay”.

She wrote: “We booked a nights stay with the Lawrence and were not disappointed. Staff were friendly and couldn’t do enough for you. We arrived to find out we had been upgraded to the Ada suite and wow! What an amazing room, we didn’t want to leave.

“The added extras such as Netflix, Nespresso machine and a sweet jar just added a lovely personal touch to our stay.

“The hotel itself was lovely and quite and we were not disturbed at all by noise. We had breakfast delivered to our room which was very tasty and filling with a good selection.

“We had afternoon tea booked but unfortunately had to leave before our booking time. The staff were very accommodating and packed it up as a takeaway for us. It was delicious and all freshly made. I would highly recommend this hotel and would definitely visit again.”

The Lawrence Hotel invites guests to join them for the festive season, from parties, festive afternoon tea or Christmas Day, the hotel is sure to provide guests with a magical experience.

They have several menus on offer depending on when you visit. Their Friday and Saturday lunch menu, for example, includes a range of dishes such as smashed Avocado, flaked chilli poached hens egg on toasted ciabatta for £10.95 and The Lawrence club made up of chicken, bacon, lettuce and tomato with red salt fries for £8.50.

The cost to stay at the hotel varies depending on your room choice.

The snug room is £77 per night, the Superior is priced at £88 and the family room is £125. At the other end of the list is the Aya suite, which features two floors in the Duplex suite with a roll top bath and rainfall shower in the eaves of the roof, costs £169.
