Whether it’s breaded or battered, cod or haddock, there’s few things better than a proper chippy tea.
It’s the original teatime treat that can be enjoyed by the whole family at the seaside or at the dining room table.
Unsurpisingly, as one of the UK’s favourite takeaways there’s a plethora of chippys across the Lancashire, and it can be hard to know exactly which ones are the best.
Aiming to discover some of the “top rated” indepdent businesses in the UK, Tide decided to analyse TripAdvisor’s data across various eateries including “independent fish and chip shop”.
The average rating and number of reviews for each chippy was collated, before multiplying these figures together to form an overall score for each business, which was then used to determine the top independent fish and chip shop in the UK.
And a chippy in Ramsbottom made it into the top 10 list.
Fish and Chip Co, ranked at number 10, and it prides itself on producing homemade pies, puddings, chilli and more – while all fish is fried to order.
