Spurs fans felt Ashley Barnes was lucky to avoid a card early in Burnley’s game against Tottenham.
The Clarets striker caught Toby Alderweireld with a stray elbow when the two challenged for a high ball in the early stages of the Premier League contest.
The Tottenham defender needed treatment for a cut just above his right eye which was bleeding but referee Michael Oliver took no action against Barnes, whose eyes were on the ball the entire time.
VAR will have looked at the decision and no further action was taken with the Belgium international able to play on after treatment.
But Spurs fans did not agree with the officials, here’s their view on social media.
Burnley went into the game looking for their first win of the season having lost their opening three matches before drawing at West Brom last time out.
Spurs will go fifth with a win at Turf Moor, Jose Mourinho’s men having eight points from their first four games.
