‘Naughty’ Mark Labbett’s ‘pokerface’ leaves Bradley Walsh and Chase viewers impressed as he gets question wrong

Viewers tuning into tonight’s episode of The Chase were left blown away by Mark The Beast Labbett’s pokerface – as well as host Bradley Walsh.

Many fans watching the show from home took to Twitter to react to the 55-year-old Chaser as he answered a question wrong despite looking like he knew it.

One viewer even labelled The Beast ‘naughty’ while another called him ‘sneaky’ for bluffing, Liverpool Echo reports.

Tonight’s new episode of the hit ITV quiz show saw contestants Becky, Sue, Jonny and Simon go up against Mark in hopes of winning a cash prize.

First up was hopeful Becky, who was eliminated, followed by team mate Sue who won £8,000 in her cash builder round and chose to go for Mark’s high offer of £30,000.

Sue was two questions away from making it back to the Final Chase, when she came undone and got a question wrong. The question was: “What music genre was given its name by the London record shop owner Dave Godin?”

The answer options were Heavy Metal, Northern Soul or Acid House. Sue incorrectly selected Acid House – the correct answer was Northern Soul.

If the Beast answered correctly, Sue would be eliminated. The Beast grinned while Bradley asked Sue: “Do you think he knows it?”

Sue said: “Of course he does, look at that grin.”

But Sue was forced to wait until after the break to learn her fate. The Beast was bluffing, much to Sue and Bradley’s surprise.

Bradley said: “That was cool, that was cool.”

Viewers took to Twitter to share their thoughts.

Twitter user @loonylunes said: “Sneaky beast!!!!!”

James said: “Has Mark ever considered Poker… that was some Pokerface!”

Imo commented: “Beasty u naughty naughty.”

But @Majerly_Annoyed added: “The Beast usually only grins like that when he’s flubbed it.”

Sue answered her next question incorrectly and was eliminated by Mark Labbett.
