Jordan North misses out on I’m A Celebrity 2020 title as Giovanna Fletcher crowned Queen of the Castle

I’m A Celebrity star Jordan North has missed out on being crowned King of the Castle – but said he had made friends for life.

The Burnley-born Radio 1 DJ made it to the final two with podcaster and author Giovanna Fletcher, who picked up the title.

TV presenter Vernon Kay was eliminated earlier in Friday night’s finale.

Jordan said he had faced his fears during his three weeks on the show in North Wales – and would now happily go out for a drink with any of his fellow contestants.

PR experts predict his success on the show could see him go on to make millions.

He told hosts Ant and Dec: “Never in a million years did I think I’d be in the final two.

“Stupidly I said I thought I could get away with doing any trials and then I spewed on a cliff!

“I faced all my fears.

“Never did I think I’d meet such lovely, genuine people. I’ve made some real special bonds.”

He joked the trials were “horrible” and “worse in real life than you see on the TV”.

Jordan made the most spectacular entrance into I’m A Celebrity, being sick before he even attempted to get into camp by abseiling down a cliff.

He then was picked for a number of trials by the public – and famously was heard saying “happy place” over and over again in the Viper Vault trial.

He said he thought of going to watch his beloved Burnley FC to take his mind off what he was doing.

The 30-year-old was relatively unknown away from the airwaves before he entered the castle but could now be offered advertising deals and TV appearances which could land him as much as £1million in the next 12 months.

Public relations brand expert Mark Borkowski told the Mirror: “Someone like Jake Quickenden went on this show (in 2014) and then did incredibly well for 12 months afterwards and Jordan is that kind of figure. He is still on Radio One but he will have TV options too.

“ITV know the audience love him and voted for him so he could be the very big winner.”
