The Wordsworth Singers present Heartlands, a concert of choral music celebrating landscape and nature and featuring a new performance of ‘Thread About My Heart’, by Cumbrian composer, Phillip Cooke, setting texts by William and Dorothy Wordsworth. A treat for the ears with songs by Romantic composers Brahms and Schubert. The concert is rounded off with contemporary works, including the world premiere of a setting of William Wordsworth’s famous poem, I Wandered Lonely As A Cloud, by British composer, John Whittaker. Directed by Mark Hindley, with piano accompaniment by Vincent Wiguna.
