Almost 600 properties will lose power in Cumbria as engineers work on electricity lines in the county next week.
Electricity North West has organised scheduled power cuts between Sunday, January 31, and Thursday February 4 with work hopefully seeing improved reliability in the county.
A total of 595 homes and businesses will be affected as part of the planned maintenance work across Penrith, Carlisle, Wigton and other areas.
“We invest millions every year into maintaining the local network,” Electricity North West says.
“This helps us to ensure all areas of the North West region have a safe and secure supply of electricity for the future.
“Sometimes, this requires us to temporarily interrupt your supply so our engineers can work safely.
“We will always notify you in advance before we plan to interrupt your supply, unless it is an emergency situation we will not notify you.”
