Families are expected to flock to Blackpool to bid farewell to 2021 and welcome 2022 in style with a huge fireworks display on the seafront.
Pyrotechnic rockets will light up the sky in front of Blackpool Tower at around 5pm on New Year’s Eve (December 31).
There will also be light projection shows, family entertainment and a free ice rink on Tower Festival Headland.
The free event will take place subject to suitable weather conditions and any changes to the government’s coronavirus restrictions.
It will conclude the seaside town’s Christmas By the Sea programme, which included the Winter Gardens Wonderland village and the extended illuminations, which run until January 3.
